Media Interactive
Media Interactive is a discussion-based and creative program that gives youth a space to explore how media influences the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us.
From viral trends and influencer culture to movies, music, and online videos, youth will critically examine the messages they receive every day. Through guided conversations and creative self-expression, participants unpack topics like identity, emotional intelligence, mental health, communication, and the pressures of modern life.
We use media as a mirror to analyze the content youth engage with to spark meaningful discussions about real life challenges like peer pressure, racism, mental wellness, and self-worth. Youth are also encouraged to respond through their own creative work, including video projects, short films, digital art, and audio pieces.
By combining media literacy with emotional awareness, Media Interactive helps youth build resilience, find their voice, and navigate their world with more clarity and confidence.
